EMF Detector has no accounts and no sign-in, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number. Your readings stay on your device, and the app shows no advertising.
EMF Detector ("the app") is an app developed by Martin Studios that reads your device's built-in magnetometer to display electromagnetic field measurements. This policy explains what happens to data when you use it.
No personal information. The app has no accounts, no sign-in and no registration forms. We do not receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or files.
Saved records, the place names you type when saving them, the minimum, maximum and average values of each session, and preferences such as measurement units, display colour and sound are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app removes them.
The app reads your device's built-in magnetometer to measure the surrounding electromagnetic field. These readings are processed on the device in real time to drive the gauge, the level indicator and the alert sounds. They are not transmitted anywhere and are not stored beyond the session unless you choose to save a record.
The app does not listen to your surroundings. The detector sounds you hear are generated from audio files bundled inside the app. The app does not request microphone permission, does not record you, and cannot hear you.
The app does not request or use your GPS location. When you save a record, the place name is whatever text you type yourself.
EMF Detector shows no advertising of any kind. There are no ad networks in the app, no advertising identifier (IDFA) is read, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown, because there is nothing to track.
To understand which features are used and to fix problems, the app collects anonymous usage statistics through Google Firebase Analytics. This includes events such as which screens are opened, app version, build number and device model.
It does not include your name, your saved records, or the place names you type. You can read how Google handles this data in Google's Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. The app only receives confirmation from Apple that a purchase is valid, so it can unlock the corresponding features. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.
The app also asks Apple which version of the app you originally downloaded. This is used solely to make sure that users who installed the app under an earlier pricing model keep the access they already had. It is a single technical value; it does not identify you.
You can view, change or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, we have nothing about you to retain or delete. Content you create stays on your device, under your control. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Google according to its own policies, described in the link above.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. As we hold no personal data about you, most requests can be resolved by deleting the app or the content stored inside it. If you need help finding the right channel, get in touch.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address and the date at the top will be updated. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
